Process of Peeling Peanut

In the process of peeling peanuts, three kinds of machines are probably used, they are peanut shelling machine, peanut roasting machine and peanut dry peeling machine.
1. Shelling

The purpose of shelling is to remove the outer shell of the peanut, which can facilitate the follow-up peanut peeling process. The following describes a peanut shelling machine, which uses the impact shelling principle. Impact shelling is the sudden impact of high-speed movement of the material subjected to impact, so that the shell crushing and achieve the purpose of shelling. The typical equipment is a centrifugal shelling machine consisting of a high-speed rotary dumper plate and a rough wall plate fixed around the thrower plate. The impact shelling method is suitable for peanuts with a small binding force between the kernel shells, a large gap between the kernel shells and a brittle shell. Factors affecting the shelling quality of the centrifugal shelling machine include the moisture content of the grain, the rotation speed of the feed tray, and the structural characteristics of the tray.

 

2. Roasting

The purpose of drying is to reduce the moisture of the peanut kernels in order to remove the red clothes. The presence of red clothes has a significant influence on the color and flavor of the peanut protein, and the moisture content after drying requires a decrease of 4% or less. In order to reduce the denaturation of the protein, a low-temperature drying process must be adopted, and the temperature of the raw material must not exceed 60° C. during the drying process. Peanuts can be dried using a peanut roasting machine.

3. Peeling skin

Peanut is composed of red skin and kernels. The red skin is mainly composed of fibrous tissue and hemostatic substances, while nutrients such as oil and protein in peanuts are concentrated in the kernels.

The binding force between the mature peanut red skin and the kernels is related to the moisture content of the peanuts. When the moisture reaches a certain value, the binding force is minimized. At this time, the peanuts can be peeled from the seeds by a small force. Drying off the red clothes is to dry the peanuts to a certain degree and use a colloidal asynchronous double roller device to peel the red clothes from the kernels. Then separate them according to the difference in the specific gravity of red and kernels. Peanut kernels that had been dried and then cooled to 40°C were de-redded. The raw material peeling efficiency is required to be >98%. The red clothes selected by the wind can be sent to the pharmaceutical industry.
